Australia is all set to host the 7th edition of T20 World Cup which is scheduled to be held next year from 18th October 2020 to 15th November 2020. The maiden such a T20 format World cup was pioneered in South Africa in the year 2007 which was conquered by team India and the latest one was carried on in kolkata at Eden Garden stadium in 2016 where West Indies championed themselves by Winning their second title . This is the first time when Australia will host a T20 men's world Cup and the recent tweet by Australian Prime Minister has revealed the excitement and preparation level of Cricket Australia formerly known as Australian Cricket Board , the Government, Cricket lovers & all sponsors who are leaving no stone unturned to convert this chance into a grand success with stupendous feedback from the Cricket fans across the globe. In a recent tweet PM of Australia posted a video which describes beauty of Australia in the best way with a tagline of Australian Tourism "There's Nothing like Australia" and he also tagged his Indian counterpart seeking a nod which was quickly responded by Narendra Modi .
For Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison this T20 event is not merely about Cricket and a World Cup but it's all about Australia's representation in world via the most favorite sport of Australia . Scott Morrison seems doing a magnificent job to promote ' Australia Tourism ' which contributes nearly 3% to Australia's GDP and employs around 6 lakhs of people sharing 5% of the Workforce. According to an official data published by Tourism Australia almost 9.35 million overseas tourists visited Australia for year ending July 2019 spending 44.6 billion Australian Dollars with an average of staying 32 nights in Australia. The most interesting fact exposed that 67% of the tourists had revisited Australia and new comers adding 37%. The tourism industry in Australia has a potential to attract 115-140 billion dollars by 2020 which Australia is eyeing at . Few days ago in a pic Australian PM was seen discharging the responsibility of a Water Boy , carrying drinks for players during a match between Australia PM XI and Srilanka.
Sweating in and off the ground can be envisaged as PM's love for Cricket as well as a clever move to boost Australian Economy and being a Prime Minister of a Country Scott Morrison knows the importance of this "World Event" which can steal the show compelling rest of the world to visit Australia again and again by notching through this T20 World Cup. The time will tell how successful Scott Morrison remains but the way he has shouldered his role is an example and will definitely inspire other leaders to use every platform for the Development of their countries.
